Christmas is coming!

Hello friends!!!

Christmas is COMING!! Nov. 28, I went to my first ever PT Health Christmas party. Held at Renaissance in Hamilton, PT Health went all out: Open bar, free food, Open bar....

Two things happened that night:

1) I got good drunk... (not to the point where I made a fool of myself)

2) I acquired a Poinsettia

(It was the center piece for each table at the Christmas Party)

......................................................................................

Last Sunday my parents came to visit, which was the first time my mom has ever been to my place since i moved here in September. I was giving her the tour and she asked whether i was going to put up any xmas decorations up...I didn't consider it at all before that. Days passed and i started gathering ideas......

Today December 1, 2009, I went to Dollarama and bought myself my FIRST EVER CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS (for my own place)

$7.35 later....

Hopefully i can add more stuff to the tree later.

Happy First of December!

It's been a while

It's been a while since i last posted something. Exactly a month and a day to be exact. So...... what is new... let's backtrack...

Went to Ottawa with my sister, stephen and dana. First, we went to the aviation museum which was cool, saw some amazing old planes. There was this one plane that looked like it was from the Transformers 2 movie, so i took a picture.

I wish they had more attractions for little kids, I wasn't bored or anything, but I was hoping for more interactive games. (Ohhh, the flight simulator was cool!)...I know my sister would have liked that...

After the museum, we spent a lot of our time at the market for dinner and for night outs. Here is a list of the places we went in the market:

1) Honest Lawyers- I loved this place, it served DRINKS (apparently they served 7 shots of beer on a wooden paddle for a reasonable price, but i didn't know about this until afterward), FOOD, AND ARCADE GAMES!!!...I told Dana that i wouldn't play the Basketball arcade game, but the urge grew too much that by the end of the night, i had EVERYONE playing the basketball game with me. (My highest score was 80....yeah i know, it's pretty good)

-There is an honest lawyer 5 minutes from my place here in hamilton. If it's anything like the one in Ottawa, i think i have found my "Local Bar" (More on that later)

2) Fish Market- Lovely, upscale version of Red Lobster..the fish i had was delightful. If you're ever in Ottawa looking for gooood seafood (WILL)..go to the fish market...

3) Cornerstones Bar and Grill - Atmosphere was GREAT! loved the music (too bad the DJ didn't have DMX), loved the food (the nachos were great, apparently one of the best in Ottawa), and I loved the modern look of the bar area. Check it out when you're ever there (http://www.cornerstonebarandgrill.ca/)

4) Studio 34- Like Apartment 58 in Guelph, it attempts to be an up-scale night club but fails horribly. We knew we should have left this place when we were in line watching the douche-bag bouncer allow in douche-bag guidos or the Waterloo Warriors' basketball team after having lost a game. Once inside (after an hour wait of course) it looks like a normal club with an oversized bar and a small dance floor (WE DIDNT DANCE THOUGH)

...Now I wish i took some pictures of this studio 34.

One GREAT thing i stumbled-upon from this Ottawa trip were two websites. They have helped me pass the time whenever I was bored. And yes, I will share them with you

1) www.youshouldhaveseenthis.com - 99 videos (some good, some alright) of the most popular videos on the internet (One of my favourites is leprechaun in mobile alabama). IF you know of more, PLEASE comment it in, or msg me. I love new funny videos.

2) failblog.org As a consequence of the first site, this is pretty funny. I described this as like the headlines bit from Jay Leno...

So check these out, they are pretty funny...

Batty Returns...

Hello again! As i left things last night, I was sleeping soundly in my bed as my new friend "Batty" was hanging out just outside my door. As i left for work this morning, he was out there taking a snooze on my neighbour's door frame. I figured i'd leave him be and deal with him later.

So I got home after work and talked to the lady that worked downstairs in the salon and we devised a plan in catching Batty. I grabbed a container and a piece of cardboard and went to work. The most difficult part was trying to trap the bat without him waking up, the rest was easy as i slid the cardboard to fully trap him. I then ran outside and gently dropped the trap on to the ground hoping he would just fly away. He didn't....he sat there just squeaking away. There he was so helpless and sad. I just figured the light disabled him

(I've been watching/reading a lot of vampire stories[Angel, True Blood, Twilight], so all the myths about vampires kind of transferred onto Bats.)

Anyway, i picked him up and tried to look for a cardboard box so he could rest until nightfall, but before that I decided to take a picture. As i took the picture, he flew away confused.....
I hope to never see that lil guy again....and I hope this story about Batty is finally over with....

What a coincidence that Batty came by days before Halloween....hmmmmm

It's a bird, its a plane, its.....

Hello everyone and Thank you for tuning in (you know who u are)...let's see if we can make this work

I got attacked by a bat tonight. 9:48pm on a Monday night. Here i was minding my own business in my 'pad' and I heard rustling outside my door. Opened the door and in the hallway i thought i saw a bird, but it wasn't. By the way it was flapping its ugly-ass wings, i knew it wasn't a bird....it was a bat. Never have i seen one in real life, but i have seen my share of Batman movies soooo i would know....

...filthy bloodsucker.....

P.s. i'm fine...but it's still out there. Let's hope this is the last time i talk about this subject
